Pickleball League
What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a racquet sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis.  The court is just under one third of the area of   a tennis court and with a similar net.  The game is played with a hard    paddle and a polymer smaller version of a wiffle ball.  A pickleball moves at about one-third the speed of a tennis ball, making this a sport that is more accessible to a wider range of players, particularly children and seniors.  The smaller area along with the slower moving ball makes pickleball much easier to play than tennis.  Please register at Park and Recreation for these leagues so we can call you with any schedule changes.  You can drop in anytime to play.  We form teams and switch teams up each week.  At Twining, we will designate one court for beginning pickleball players.  We supply the paddles and balls.
